یکی از زمینه های علاقه مندی من برای پژوهش تعیین طول عمر باقیمانده زیرساختها و پیش بینی ریسک خرابی آنهاست. کلیه زیرساختهایی که در معرض خرابی های محیطی و اثرات افزاینده بار محیطی هستند نظیر پل ها، خطوط لوله، روسازی بزرگراهها و خطوط ریلی و همچنین صنایع انرژی.
این پژوهشها نیازمند دانش تلفیقی رفتار سازه، مکانیزم های خرابی، اثرات بار محیطی و روش های مدلسازی احتمالاتی است.
